2015 Top 10 Sex Blogs for Couples

Top10So we took a year off from our top list, but we’re back. Our list this year is going to have a different format as there is no need to number them. Unfortunately, a lot of sex blogs have went from informative articles and great opinion pieces, to reviews of sex toys and more reviews of sex toys. You can pretty much go to Amazon.com and read the reviews on vibrators and dildos and get the same type of content a lot of bloggers are releasing weekly. It’s unfortunate, because creativity seems to have taken a back seat to getting free merch and powder puffing reviews of vibrators as if there are huge differences. Don’t get offended sex bloggers, we are guilty of the same thing!  Which is why we have slowed down our review section back to once every other month or so, if that.

Don’t get me wrong, I am sure there are 1000s of readers that enjoy reading the slight difference in how a sleek and sexy purple dildo with bejeweled rhinestones shakes a blogger’s clit so much more different than the aggressive and adventurous neon orange glow in the dark dildo with  a secret compartment for your butt plug she reviewed the week before. Interesting stuff for sure!

But enough about that! Let’s talk about our top 10 sex blogs for couples in 2015. We have decided to stick with what we know, and share with our readers the sites that are geared more towards our own tastes, couple friendly, sex driven, with sexy photos and other informative articles that can help couples spice up their own sex lives.

A Good Woman’s Dirty Mind

Ryan: Unfortunately the creator of A Good Woman’s Dirty Mind, Bobby Morgan, passed away in 2015.  As much as I want to talk about all the great naughty articles she shared, that we have always thoroughly enjoyed, I can’t really say much other than go check out her blog and enjoy. Her work is the epitome of what a sex blog should be, in our humble opinion. And we aren’t sharing our love for her work posthumous, we have included A Good Woman’s Dirty Mind in all of our yearly Top Sex Blogging Lists since we’ve been blogging.

Her Own Bio:

I started this blog in September 2012. It was built on the inspiration of the love affair of a lifetime between me and my lover, Parrot. So often we’d say (and still say) that if most people knew of how amazing our sex and relationship are that they’d never believe it. If only we could teach, bottle, sell or share our secrets of our great sex, romance and relationship, more people would be happier and more fulfilled.

Like the way Parrot and I talk with each other, A Good Woman’s Dirty Mind is open, frank, and nakedly explicit in the way it talks about sex and relationships. It’s not explicit in a pornographic way, but my stories get to the point without hiding behind a cloud of euphemisms. As I often say, if you can’t talk (or read) about sex, you have no business having sex.

In short, A Good Woman’s Dirty Mind is all about real sex — and really great sex at that — for real people.

Venice: You will be dearly missed Bobbie. Hopefully your blog will stay online, so others can get a chance to read your beautiful (dirty) mind, and enjoy what we got to enjoy while you were still here.

Christian Nymphos

Venice: This can be somewhat of a contradiction in terms. My first thought was Josh Duggar and his reputed devotion to his wife, Anna. It seemed that he received more media attention in the wake of Ashley Madison scandal and infidelities than he did as the eldest Duggar child before his nuptials. And of course, many of us were forced to assume that it was because of his strict and devout Christian upbringing that ultimately led to his downfall. Maybe, maybe not. Christian Nymphos is a great starting point (and would have been a great starting point for Josh Duggar) for couples who want to explore within the confines of monogamy and who want to “spice up the bedroom” without feelings of guilt. It caters to couples (comments from “singles” are automatically deleted, per the site’s guidelines) and fosters a feeling of community. It may not benefit everybody, but knowing there is a site like this does comfort me, and I can certainly appreciate its efforts in providing a Christian perspective in an area where one would not traditionally link it – sex.

Their Own Bio:

We recognize that nymphomania is a legitimate illness for some women and we don’t mean to minimize that in any way. We started referring to ourselves as nymphos long before we started our blog. We saw ourselves as incredibly passionate wives and found wonderful freedom in embracing our sexuality. The definition of a nympho is “a woman with abnormal sexual desires.” Sometimes we do feel abnormal, and while sometimes it is with people who are not Christians it can also be when we are in groups of Christian women. Moms groups. Ladies Bible studies. A night out with our Christian girlfriends. It is not uncommon to hear women speaking negatively about sex. It is also not at all uncommon for us to hear people telling us that our sexual standards are rigid and uptight because we are so firm in our conviction that sex as God intended it is most intensely fulfilled within the marriage covenant.

While our name includes the term “nympho,” we also first and foremost refer to ourselves as Christians. The core of our identity is that we belong to God and have a connection to Him because of our faith in the saving power of the work of Jesus Christ on the cross. This allows us to submit all of our sexual desires to his authority so that our expressions of passion with our husbands are healthy and appropriate.

The word Nympho has a negative connotation for some. It doesn’t have to stay this way. Why can’t we take something “of the world” and make it into something good?

Ryan: Although the religious aspect may turn off some readers, it is still much different that the rest of the sex blogosphere. I do not wake up and say to myself, “I am an awful person. I am a pervert and a sinner.” I see myself as a good person, I feel like I do have a personal relationship with God, and the things I do outside of the “normal”, I only do with my wife right next to me.  As extreme as some of the things we do, we only do them together, including adding another woman to our bedroom.

Sex and Psychology

Venice: Dr. Lehmiller is a researcher and scholar who runs Sex and Psychology. A recent blog entitled, “Nearly 9 in 10 Studies in Relationships Exclude Sexual Minorities” was, to say the least, somewhat surprising and certainly disheartening. Why? Because I fall in the category of sexual minorities, e.g. lesbian, gay, or bisexual. What’s great about this site is that it is “not a personal, opinion-based blog; rather each article […] is rooted in science and actually sites the original research source.” What makes a blog personalized and respectable are the opinions and various viewpoints offered to the lay-Internet user. However, if you want a reputable site full of interesting and informative articles, check out this site.

His Own Bio:

Sex and Psychology was created in order to share the science of sex, love, and relationships in a way that is both engaging and accessible. It is departure from most of the other sexual advice websites out there, which are run by self-proclaimed experts who base their information largely upon their own personal experiences and beliefs. This is not a personal, opinion-based blog; rather, each article on here is rooted in science and actually cites the original research sources. The goal is for readers to learn responsible information about sex and relationships and to correct the numerous myths and misconceptions that actively harm our sexual health and well-being.

This website is run by Dr. Justin J. Lehmiller, who received his Ph.D. in Social Psychology from Purdue University. Dr. Lehmiller is an award winning educator, having been honored three times with the Certificate of Teaching Excellence from Harvard University. He is also a prolific researcher and scholar, having published more than 30 pieces of academic writing to date, including articles in some of the leading journals on sex and relationships, several book chapters, and two textbooks. Dr. Lehmiller’s research focuses on topics including casual sex, sexual fantasy, sexual health, and friends with benefits.

Ryan: Dr. Lehmiller is everything we are not. And we do not have a problem with saying that. Great site, great for researching our own answers to certain questions we get, and a lot of informative articles.

Average Married Dad

Ryan: This is not a sex blog.  This is more of a Sex, Life, And Everything blog. Although one of our long term goals was to have our blog focus on every aspect of our lives, from our favorite movies, to our random moments, most of our views came from the “sex” of our life. This is probably our own fault, being that we had Deepthroat Tutorials and Anal Sex Research blogs go viral when we first started blogging. However, we are interested in blogs that go beyond just sex. This blog is an example of that. It is extremely sex light, but life heavy. If you are looking for a great blog to follow, this is definitely one of them. And don’t worry, there aren’t 100 different dildo reviews here!

His Own Bio:

I’m a late 30’s father of two, just a regular guy like you.  I work a 9-5 job, have a house with a mortgage and have been married for over 14 years now.  Not too long ago I swallowed the Red Pill and my world view was changed permanently resulting in many changes.  Upon reading thousands of blog posts, hundreds of books, and incorporating some sweeping changes in my life, I’ve found my life, wife, and kids have all improved and the baseline has shifted.  This blog will be a mix of parenting, marriage, fitness, nutrition, personal finance and any other aspect of self- or life-improvement that I see fit to discuss.   You’ll read about my son, LoudBoy; my daughter, Birdsnest; and my wife, Holly.

Venice: Was our breakdown of this blog average or slightly boring? Well, this blog still has a lot of sex related material, it just happens to be geared more towards an average husband and his monogamous relationship with his wife. As most of our readers know, that was us for the first 15 years of our own relationship.

Spice Up My Marriage

Venice: From topics regarding The Art Cinema to Pegging Your Husband. We need more sex blogs like this, directed at couples and how to keep things in the bedroom hot and steamy. Hopefully they ramp back up their content in 2016, as they had a slight slow down at the end of the year.  Let’s keep things nice and spicey!

Their Own Bio:

A blog where we encourage every couple in a long-term, committed relationship to learn ways to keep the spice in their relationship and grow closer together thanks to the happiness from the deep emotional and physical connections fostered by mutual pleasure.

What they are not? They are not a porn site, a hook-up site, or a judgmental place.

Ryan: Sounds familiar!

Behind The Curtains – A Secret Diary Of A Couple

Ryan: This site is really a photo blog, filled with great shots of a couple sharing themselves on the internet. Updated regularly and extremely fun and hot. There are a lot of other blogs out there updating each day on tumbler with photos, but the photos are professional or just random nude models posted on social media.  This site isn’t random, as each photo is of the couple having fun together, being nude, and spicing up their marriage. This is the same reason we started our own blog!

Their Own Bio:

This is our secret-sinner-dark-side diary. We are a couple in love that uses this blog to share our secret side and explore what other couples do to spice up their private lives and find some hot things for us to do.

Venice: There are probably 100s of couples’ blogs similar to this, including the endless twitter accounts filled with self photos of couples having sex or in sexual poses. This couple just happens to have a blog that’s easy to find. This slot if interchangeable with your own favorite exhibitionist couple. I know that’s a cop out for a top sex blog list, but there really are just too many to chose from. To bring it back to more than just photos, but self-portraits and great content, I will list a few of our previous top blogs below for you to enjoy (although not really couple driven).

My name is Molly Moore and I am a Blogger, Photographer, Published author, Public speaker and Podcaster.

My husband and I met on-line 5 years ago and embarked on a 18 month-long distance relationship, as he lived in the USA, In July 2011 he finally made the move across the pond and we got married. This is a second marriage for both of us. Our relationship is based on negotiated inequality, in that he is the dominant partner and I am the submissive partner for one very simple reason; because we love it that way. It works for both us. It is a relationship based on trust, love, communication and maybe most importantly of all consent.

My blog is a mix of sex toy reviews, sexuality opinion pieces, sensual self-portraiture, fancy sex to photography, erotic tales, and more! The main goal of my blog and work is to normalize sex, sex toys, and nudity through open discussion, creativity, and sex positivity. While I don’t believe sex is actually “dirty,” I love reclaiming the word in a positive way.

The Beautiful Kind is a sex-positive community blog led by Kendra Holliday…  Here, you can get advice, share experiences, and explore new ideas about sexuality and relationships. This site strives to bring shy folks out of their shell, and offer a safe haven for those exploring their sexually creative side. Our sexuality is connected to every aspect of our lives. All genders, sexual orientations, lifestyles, and fetishes are welcome here. Open, honest, and authentic, The Beautiful Kind is sure to entertain, educate, titillate, and inspire.

Venice: So we pretty much just cheated and gave you 4 blogs for 1 spot. What can I say, I’m a softie for bloggers openly taking self portraits and sharing themselves with the world. Plus, most of the time I look at their blogs and photos and get the strong urge to hop in Ryan’s lap. Who says beautiful self-portraits, sex articles, and great opinion pieces can’t be for couples?!!  I bet Ryan doesn’t mind!

Red Lipstick Project

Venice: Her blogs are quirky and straightforward. In other words, they speak to me in my language. Emily is the Founder of Red Lipstick Project and a Health/Relationship Coach. She’s honest as fuck and her writing is fresh and inviting to the 21st century woman. “The Dating Mantra for People Who Give Zero F*cks”

Her Own Bio:

Founder of Red Lipstick Project and Health/Relationship coach. I help people fall in love with life. I work with women who want to follow their passions, find what makes them uniquely healthy and turns them on.

Ryan: Hopefully she will stay active (or become more active) in 2016, because some of us love her work.  In fact, I talked with Venice about taking her 30 day orgasm challenge (removing the word multiple). Not for me, because I’ve surpassed that by a few years, but Venice probably orgasms 2 to 3 times a week.  It would be interesting to see how she responds to having an orgasm each day for 30 days. Although for a man this is easy work, it would definitely be a sex positive/healthy challenge for Venice.  I removed the word “multiple” from the challenge, as I do not think that’s possible.  Or is it…

In Bed With Married Women

Venice: Not what you think it is based off the title. What did I think? I thought it was a blog about a man who wrote about all the married women he has bedded. Although I am sure there is a blog like that out there, this is not that.

Her Own Bio:

In Bed With Married Women is a place to talk about sex in all its funny, weird, boring, smokin’ hot glory. Knowledge = power and all that.

Ryan: I tried to find the original purpose behind her blog name, because her bio doesn’t explain much. I went back to 2010 and saw a series, “True Wife’s Tale”, which seems to be stories about various married women’s bedroom antics and their sex lives. The original article seemed to be in question and answer format with a married woman answering questions about what her sex life is like.  I can only assume that the name “In Bed With Married Women” was at first a blog that was going to talk about  married women’s sex lives, but gradually turned into a full on sex blog. Either way, it’s updated regularly and has enough material for you to spend weeks, if not months on, just catching up.  And…Married men are still curious about what married women privately think about their sex lives!

Ann St Vincent

Venice: With an introduction like “My Journey through marriage, open marriage, divorce, being a mom, sexual, rebirth, online dating, relationships, and lots of sex,” how could there be anyone out there NOT relate? Ann St Vincent pretty much covers most of the free world. Ann writes in relatable, conversational language in an array of topics. Go to the subject in the menu “About My Lovers” and you can read about her lovers, men she’s slept with, quick and dirty encounters, and Johnny Id. She’s a riot.

Her Own Bio:

I am an executive businesswoman living in a big city in my early 40s.  I am also a Mom; my son Liam lives with me every other week.

This blog is my journal.

The turbulence in the last few years in my life – involving an open marriage and taking advantage of it, divorce, sexual reawakening, online dating – all while navigating equal custody of my son and trying to maintain a good relationship with my ex – inspired me to get back to writing.

Unlike many divorced women, I am not bitter or angry at my ex for the breakdown of our marriage.  We both agreed we should go our separate ways.  I don’t regret my choices.  I’m pretty happy.  I’m not using a dating coach (yet).  I’m not looking to replace my husband and get re-married.  What I am, after a 15-year almost totally sexless relationship, is very keen on coming back to life, fulfilling every physical and emotional desire I have.

So far, so good. Life is fun and quite messy and I’m just figuring it out as I go along.

Everything here is true and my first hand, un-embellished experience, but the names of those I mention are disguised to protect the guilty. Enjoy.

Ryan: This blog is an absolute winner in every category for us. We have always enjoyed the sex/life blogs that are in diary/journal format.

Two Horny Guys

Venice: This blog is maintained by a gay couple who post a lot of fantasies, with photos of random gay models/scenarios to match.

Their Own Bio:

We are two. We are guys. And yes, we are horny all the time. And we are also in love with each other for more than 8 years already. This blog/website/whatever is intended to share our sexual adventures, fantasies and desires with anyone interested in knowing how’s the sexual life of a gay couple. But don’t get us wrong: we’re not here to represent gay couples. Every person is a different person and every gay couple are two different persons.

We will, occasionally, post pictures of ourselves here. But we won’t show our face. We believe that this option will allow us to feel more free about what we write and the personal stories we tell. You can know more about us by reading our posts, but let us give you just a small introduction:

We are (very much) into threesomes. We are also into foursomes, orgies, group sex, and so on. We are both versatile but play more as top, therefore we prefer to have fun with bottoms. We like to watch gay porn. Together or individually. We don’t like porn made in studies that recreate tacky hotel rooms with ugly paintings on the wall. Well, some of them may be worth it. We think that toilets spoil many pictures that otherwise could be hot. We prefer hairy guys. But there are (many) exceptions to this.

Ryan: If Venice were a man, this would be the blog I would subscribe to to get my gay couple fix. Filter out all the photos and it does have a lot of entertaining content and thoughts. This type of blog takes time because they have random photos that match all of their fantasies/stories, and I can appreciate that.

Our Top 10 Sex Blogs of 2013

top10
Our reviews are based off of a database which keeps track of various categories:    Media, Originality, Updates, Variations, Entertainment, and a few other  categories which will remain unpublished.  We have a few trusted friends and  fellow authors helping us rate each blog submitted.  We then calculate and  review the top 10 blogs in the database.    Yes, we have an actual system.   However, our system is still just our opinions.
First, I would like to point out that we have a link on the left hand side our of blog that lists “Our Favorites.”  Those websites are our permanent top list that we read and check out all year.  If they were not on the side bar, we would add them as our top sex blogs, but because they are on our page permanently, we will not include any of those sites.

1. @Mollysdailykiss http://mollysdailykiss.com/ Molly’s Daily Kiss claims to be the UK’s highest ranked sex blogger and after one visit to her blog, you’ll see why. I would have to say my favorite page on her blog is “My 101 Things In 1001 Days.” Complete with a timer to the deadline, a checklist, and the status for each task.  She is very fortunate to live in a culture-rich area which lends itself to #21: Create a page on my blog for my Scavenger Hunt images.  Then there are others (#48: Have my underwear cut off with a knife & #55: Be made to masturbate before a live audience) which lead me to believe that she has covered all the bases (PG to XXX).

2. @TBK365 http://thebeautifulkind.com/ is a blog with so much honesty it hurts. Kendra Holliday is not apologetic for the events that led her to the life she leads now. I applaud her for the sexual freedom she exudes and the vigilant parenting, in equal parts. Her sexuality and parenting do, in fact, overlap, and the sincerity in which she approaches both is something for which I have a true and deep respect. The highly anticipated photos from her birthday gang bang are up. Nowhere have I seen a more eloquently choreographed event documented than I have here.

3. @Pennysblog  http://pennysdirtythoughts.com/  Penny’s blog exemplifies everything a sex blog should be.  Her photos, both in black and white and in color, rival that of any professional model posing for a photographer, all elegantly done and complete with stories behind each one.  Her poetry is sinful and subtle (read “Things I Masturbate To” one of them being “the girl at the dentist’s who cleaned [her] teeth”).   Ultimately, she has reeled me in with her anal plug (review of the minx tail, atomic rose plug, the Tantus Ryder – all of the above) reviews and musings since I am a huge fan of plugs.  Everything about her blog is delightfully pleasing to the eyes and soul, a perfect combination, and one that is absolutely essential in your must-read list.

4. @SunnyMegatron http://www.sunnymegatron.com/ is a powerful tool women can use to hone their sexual mind state…as well as techniques. Sunny offers sex toy reviews, events, contests as well as superb blogs on a wide array of subjects. One cannot help but be intrigued by such titles “How To Handle Gagging, During A Blow Job” and “G-Spot Stimulation Instructional Video.” If you’re a woman who’s single, married, or neither, you’ll want to do extensive research on this website to make yourself an even more valuable commodity.

5. @SilentPornStar  http://www.silent-porn-star.com/ is an extensive collection of sexuality in every medium and category your mind can think of. If you have a specific topic or are not looking for anything in particular, you’re sure to find it. Honestly, I can sit and browse the entire blog and be amazed by the breadth and depth of subject matter. The hodgepodge of material is tasteful and I dare any viewer to not learn a thing or two after perusing. Don’t believe me? See for yourself…

6.@SweetRori http://www.betweenmysheets.com/ is a well-established blog headed by Rori, whose “Who is Rori” alone pulled me in. She introduces characters, or rather lovers, past and present, who have contributed to shaping the woman and lover she is today. Her blog is filled with erotica, posts, opinions, reviews, giveaways and much more. Each Tuesday, she engages her readers in a conversation with questions such as, “Does Age Really Matter?” Rori has undoubtedly created a one-stop shop for sexual Q&A that has truly become one racy blog.

7. @LadyCheeky  http://www.ladycheeky.com/ Lady Cheeky invites you to Smut For Smarties, which implies that this is not the average sex blog filled with people in compromising positions of which your grandmother wouldn’t approve.  It’s much more.  It caters to lovers and thinkers alike, proving there is an art (and science) to human sexuality.  She appeals to sex educators and writers/bloggers alike as she immerses her readers with visual erotica, but also articles about sensuality, sexual education, sex tips…and much, much more.  Check out her book review of “After Pornified – How Women Are Transforming Pornography and Why It Really Matters” for a sample of her beautiful, sexually-charged brain.

8. @sexinwords  http://sex-in-words.blogspot.com/ Sex-in-Words is not only filled with Jon Pressick’s musings, but invitations for discussions and thought-provoking topics that true lovers of sex are sure to enjoy.  His blog is fresh and is continually being updated.  A favorite of ours is Muse Monday, in which Mr. Pressick writes a short, delicious tale surrounding a steamy photo, rather than vice versa.  It’s a wonderful, innovative idea which he states serves to hone his writing skills and provide naughty entertainment.

9. @NaitraDarius  http://diaryofanownedslave.com/ I am unfamiliar with the Master/slave (M/s) lifestyle.  I never took the time to understand it, so upon entering Anastassia’s blog, one of my first tasks was to read the “Proclamation of Servitude.” Anastassia’s beautifully-written oath to her Master is fascinating and something to respect, even if you’re unfamiliar with servitude.  Her site reads like a sex diary interspersed with daily musings and real life situations.

10. @UCAppetites http://uncommonappetites.blogspot.com/ is composed of a self-described 20-something married Brooklyn couple. Their videos are beautifully shot with an artistic eye behind the lens. The photos, mainly of them, share the same high-quality caliber. Rye and Violet examine the definition of marriage and share much of the same ideals as me and Ryan. Often their post may be comprised of a few carefully chosen photos describing a thought, an idea, a belief. This is a couple who clearly understand the meaning of building and strengthening their marriage.

Quarter 3 2013: Top 10 Sex Blogs

top10Our reviews are based off a database which keeps track of various categories:   Media, Originality, Updates, Variations, Entertainment, and a few other categories which will remain unpublished.  We have a few trusted friends and fellow authors helping us rate each blog submitted.  We then calculate and review the top 10 blogs in the database.    Yes, we have an actual system.  However, our system is still just our opinions.  No blog listed below will be eligible for another Top 10 list until the end of the year Annual Top Blogs list (the only blogs eligible for the ‘year-end Top 10 list’ must be a previous quarter listee of that same year, and must have our top 10 logo displayed somewhere on their website we can see).

This quarter we added another element to our blog criteria: Twitter accounts.  I was surprised to find so many sex blogs out there without a Twitter account.  Twitter allows you to talk to your readers, provide instant feedback, updates, and events.  If you pride yourself in being a 21st century blogger, you have to offer the means in which you can keep contact with your readers.  Here we present our top 10 blogs of the second quarter of 2013: (twitter / blog url)

Honorable mention:

“I Married A Sex God”-  (I Married A Sex God)
This blog made my list as an honorable mention because she has no twitter.  I love her articles and her attitude.   I also just find her blog outright entertaining, from her ESP to her wolf-like Sex God of a Husband.   The blog is a great read and it shows you the insight of a woman who refuses to tame her wild sexual wolf of a husband.

10. @nerve (Nerve)
I love seeing other people’s confessions.  I don’t know if they belong to the composer or even if they’re true or not.  The fact that there is at least one person out there who can relate to your secret makes you feel less lonely and discriminated against. Confession of the day: “I recently started dating again.  It’s funny how I do things different nowadays.  For instance, I wash my balls extra thorough.”

9.  @PornConfessions (Confessions Of A Porn Store Owner)
Porn Confessions keeps me thoroughly entertained with real, horrifying Craigslist ads, complete with screenshots of the alleged perpetrators. “Just a nice clean in shape guy looking for companionship willing to pay for dinner and a movie for a good night out. The only thing I ask is that you are not overweight.  Call me shallow if you want. I’m just looking for a date. Its my birthday.” See Craigslist Confessions.

8. @NatiraDarius (Diary Of An Owned Slave)
I am unfamiliar with the Master/slave (M/s) lifestyle.  I never took the time to understand it, so upon entering Anastassia’s blog, one of my first tasks was to read the “Procolomation of Servitude.” Anastassia’s beautifully-written oath to her Master is fascinating and something to respect, even if you’re unfamiliar with servitude.  Her site reads like a sex diary interspersed with daily musings and real life situations.

7. @remittancegirl (Remittance Girl)
Remittance Girl has a way with words that make me (yes, me!) feel simultaneously dirty, sexy, and aroused. With a delicious opening line like “His thick, inked arm felt like a fleshy cage, trapping her in the bed” from Sorry This Number Is No Longer In Service which connotes strength, bad boy, overpowering, and animalistic brute, one can’t help but to continue reading about this eloquently-written sexual experience.

6. @AnalAmy (Anal Amy)
If I see anything with “anal” in it, you’ve already caught my attention. Per her bio, she was given her namesake in high school.  Admittedly, if, as a high schooler, I’d known a girl who loved anal, I would think she was nasty.  Today, I’m envious, I’m curious, and I want to give her a high five for figuring out that every guy loves it. EVERY guy. If you’re a guy who denies it, you’re probably not getting it.  Check out The First Guy To Lick My Ass, an erotic tale of the first guy who licked her ass, which of course, led to a steamy anal session.

5. @Bambi_Kiss (Girl Uninterrupted)
What I like about this blog is the various ways in which she presents her thoughts to her readers.  Expect frank confessionals, an erotic photo, or something that reads like a naughty poem (see The Thin Line ).  This variety helps to keep my interest rather than having to see a picture with no background or a story with no visual accompaniment, both of which I can appreciate on their own.

4. @blogdangerously (Blogging Dangerously)
Sex blogging isn’t necessarily about sex, but the person who envelopes and shares your sex life.  “Kit” writes about her relationship with her husband, who is a key person in her blog, naturally.  She’s not explicit or graphic in her writing, but I can related to the emotional bonding she has with him. She focuses on her connection with him and their family, which are just as important as maintaining a healthy life in and out of the bedroom (see Husband).

3. @suggestive (Suggestive Tongue)
Lorelei is a Psychology college student who specilizaes in Gender, Sexuality, and Queer studies. Knowing that, I couldn’t wait to see her thoughts on the woman who said she couldn’t marry her man unless she made 300 sandwiches for him.  She writes, “If I were to break down a stragner’s relationship and were to find a series of disrespect, minimizing feelings, an imbalance of care or affection, a lack of trust or empathy, or straight out physical or emotional abuse, for instance, I would view that as a “wrong” relationship.”  Some people will agree with her, other won’t. Judge for yourself: Is There A Wrong Way To Date.

2. @msnaughty (Ms Naughty)
Ms. Naughty is not your run-of-the-mill sex blogger.  She’s done things, she’s been places, and I consider her knowledge (of breadth and depth) to be a breath of fresh air.  See Aspiring Male Porn Performers. Her advice is real and to the point. “Could you, potential straight male porn star, get hard and jerk off in front of a group of other men you don’t know – say, several large bearded members of a motorcycle club – then come on cue and then do it again ten minutes later? If that sounds difficult, you might want to reconsider your ambitions. (If it sounds easy, you might want to consider your sexual orientation)”

1.  @CarrieAnn_ (View From The Floor)
Have you visited Carrie Ann’s blog? Her mind is sharp and her tongue is even sharper.  Since discovering her blog, I found myself totally engrossed with her posts and don’t-give-a-fuck attitude.  I invite you to read this: Sex Positive Hypocrite, for a perfect example.  She’s so damn amazing.

Quarter 2 2013: Top 10 Sex Blogs

top10Our reviews are based off a database which keeps track of various categories:   Media, Originality, Updates, Variations, Entertainment, and a few other categories which will remain unpublished.

10. @madame_mischief:  (Madame Mischief Blog)
Madame Mischief’s blog became a favorite of ours because of the narrative between two lovers.  It provided a unique insight into the intimate telephonic lives of our male and female protagonists.  This was the first time we’d ever seen this type of format in a sex blog, which was somewhat of a soap opera, drawing us in with naughty subsequent dialogue of this series entitled “Digital Sex.”  Follow them as their adventures bring them closer and closer to a potential real life liaison…

9. @erogenoUSblog:  (erogenoUS)
I snickered under my breath while reading “Dr. Ruth Lied To You: Size Does Matter” as she uses personal experience to prove it.  She says in her closing statement, “your mileage may vary.”  But to see her say, “Yes, size does matter,” is probably one taboo revelation that women are careful to admit.  She will also take you shopping for clothes while finding a photo op in the dressing room, showing us another intimate side we rarely see anymore: one that is fully clothed.  I am confident that the woman behind the words will find a way to continue blogging, and for the sake of her readers, I pray she does.

8.  @LadyPhryxus:  (House Phryxus)
Lady Phryxus is the main writer for the House Phryxus blog which is filled with her writings on various BDSM experiences.  She frequents events, specialized parties, and partakes in many events.  Admittedly, I have dabbled in BDSM and similar activities, but do not have the interest (or pain tolerance) to incorporate it into our sex life on a regular basis.  However, that does not mean I can’t appreciate Lady Phryxus and the various “plays” described in her blog, e.g. age play, wax play, and knife play.  I can find the value in the myriad ways in which couples add to their intimate lives, and Lady Phryxus certainly does not disappoint.

7. @bedheadtweeting:  (The Redhead Bedhead)
I, Venice, read the “About” section first and foremost to get a feel of who each blogger is.  In this case, the Redhead Bedhead seems to have written her bio while thinking of me.  She is sassy, witty, and I can read her stuff all day.  What drew me in immediately was an article entitled, “If anal sex makes you gay, do tacos make you Mexican?”  It opens with the statement, “How we miss out when we confuse activity and orientation,” which sets the tone to the type of openness she and her blog portray.  Check out Ms. Bedhead as she coaxes you into her savory world, recently found and luckily for us, has chosen to reveal with us.

6. @wickedgayblog:  (Wicked Gay Blog)
This wicked gay blog explores everything gay in news, politics, pop culture, photography, and the gay community in general.  It’s not limited to featuring hot male figures to which men and women can ogle; it’s a smart, sexy site that poses serious topics such as “When Straight Men Have Sex With Other Men.” Guys, don’t be afraid to check out this blog.  If you do, it doesn’t mean you’re gay, but are confident enough to enlighten yourselves.  If you assert your open-mindedness, it’s imperative that you explore a blog such as this.

5. @wqebelle:  (William Quincy Belle)
Is not the conventional sex blog that is normally filled to the brim with sex-related subject matters which we are accustomed to reading.  We tend to forget that sex is simply not just about positions, orgasms, and how to add to your belt notches, but tangentially speaking, but also about marriage, relationships, divorce, the media – the list is endless.  Mr. Belle touches on many topics, and these are just a few of them.  Check out his blog and the section endearingly titled, “$0.02.”

4. @sexinwords:  (Sex In Words)
Sex-in-Words is not only filled with Jon Pressick’s musings, but invitations for discussions and thought-provoking topics that true lovers of sex are sure to enjoy.

3. @ladycheeky: (Lady Cheeky & Smut For Smarties)
Lady Cheeky invites you to Smut For Smarties, which implies that this is not the average sex blog filled with people in compromising positions of which your grandmother wouldn’t approve.

2. @mollysdailykiss: (Mollys Daily Kiss)
Molly’s Daily Kiss claims to be the UK’s highest ranked sex blogger and after one visit to her blog, you’ll see why.

1. @pennysblog: (A Penny For Your Dirty Thoughts)
Penny’s blog exemplifies everything a sex blog should be.

If you want to submit your blog please go to our contact page and leave us your url, blog name, and the information you’d like included in our reviews.  You can also contact @venicebloggs on twitter and talk to me personally.

Blogs that display our Top 10 logo on their blog will be eligible for our year end top 10 list (we appreciate your work, review then promote, do the same for us as a thank you).

Quarter 1 2013: Top 20 Sex Blogs

top10After reviewing 100s of sex blogs, we chose what we felt would comprise our first top 10 list.   This will be called the Top 10 Sex Blogs of Quarter 1 2013.  After this list (which actually has 20 — too many great blogs to keep just 10 on our first attempt), we will only choose 10 blogs every 3 months that we feel are the best blogs of the quarter.  Once a blog is already on the list for the current year, it will not be up for review again until the end of that year, at which time we will make our top 25 Sex Blogs of 2013.   If you want to submit your blog, please go to our contact page and let us know your page url, your blog name, and whatever background info you’d like to be included in our reviews.

Our reviews are based off a database which keeps track of various categories:   Media, Originality, Updates, Variations, Entertainment, and a few other categories which will remain unpublished.  We have a few trusted friends and fellow authors helping us rate each blog submitted.  We then calculate and review the top 10 blogs in the database.    Yes, we have an actual system.  However, our system is still just our opinions.  For the Quarter 1 Top 10 we’ve decided to add a few more of our own personal favorites that have not been submitted to the database.  No blog listed below will be eligible for another Top 10 list until the end of the year.

Top 20 Sex Blogs of Quarter 1, 2013:

1. The Beautiful Kind is a blog with so much honesty it hurts.

2. I cannot express how lusciously entertaining A Good Woman’s Dirty Mind is to me. Ms. Quote’s blog is divided into wonderful sections including erotica (her own as well as others), a section entitled “Seriously Sexy Fun” which has funny, quirky pictures, and “Seductive Soundtracks/Music” (a personal favorite). Ms. Quote’s “Relationship Rambling/Blog” is an ode to naughty topics in pop culture, two topics that when mixed together serve as a bit of comic relief to her more serious topics (see “Jon Hamm’s Big Little Hamm” and “Twitter Fakes and Rip Offs”). Where else can you find a blend of sexy wit and erotica?

3. Between My Sheets is a well-established blog headed by Rori, whose “Who is Rori” alone pulled me in.

4. Uncommon Appetities is composed of a self-described 20something married Brooklyn couple.

5. Sunny Megatron is a powerful tool women can use to hone their sexual mind state…as well as techniques.

6. Yes Means Yes is a magnificent blog that takes an innovative approach to rape and the pursuit to publicize female empowerment. This site is an assemblage of powerful writers contributing to the cause of eradicating rape and raising its awareness. I was captivated by compelling articles such as “Revenge Porn and the Women-Humiliation Industry” as it poignantly asserts, “If the culture tells my kids that it’s hot and exciting to violate a woman’s boundaries with a camera, what lesson will they take about violating a woman’s body with a body?” Indeed, knowledge is power.

7. Always Each Other is a blog run by a more contemporary couple, a couple who does not pretend to be perfect, happy, or perpetually in love. Though a sexless marriage is hard for many to understand, they attempt to reconcile and, once again, discover each other. Together they have proven that relationships really do take two to work, and together they share their journey with the world. This is a real couple with real issues who generously share the details of their most intimate project: marriage.

8. Bottom Talk is another blog worth investing your time in if you have ever thought about starting an anal sex regime. Though this blog is only updated every few months, there are still posts that are timeless in content: “Stretch Your Bootie! Anal stretching, training, and even warm-up” and “Getting back into anal.” There are extensive reviews of dildos, butt plugs, and prostate massages, all of which are a must read by both men and women if they share a common interest in anal play.

9. Engine Erotica is a blog which includes many pieces of sexual literature, both real and fantasy. He possesses the gift of erotic storytelling as he describes in steamy detail the kinky exploits of adventurous adults. It is so easy to lose yourself in the thrill of forbidden and dangerous sexual situations, but he has mastered the art of delivering carnal stories to the masses.

10. Jessica runs Blog With Benefits a lighthearted blog about relationships and everyday writings. Jessica writes from a young lady’s experience and has certainly has the stitches in her heart to prove it. I adore her creativity with the various lists (“Best Movies About Love of All Time”), humorous charts (“Are You A Booty Call?”), and fun how-tos “How To Meet His Parents For The First Time.” If you appreciate the variety that Jessica offers, you will definitely enjoy this blog.

11. She Who Makes The Rules is dark but serene blog comprised of the emotional thought processes. Let me rephrase – this is not a blog, but rather eloquently-written poetry set to artistic photos. Her writing is brutal, gritty, and downright sexy. Being written in first person, she commands the reader to submit to her powerful will while simultaneously enjoying every wickedly sinister moment.

12. Absinthe Cocktail is a charmingly sinister blog led by Arti, our sexual heroine. Her words are menacingly hypnotic in the way she illustrates each sexual session. Although the narrative is dark at some points, it is beautifully written. Arti is authentic in her pain, joy, jealousy, and sensuality, drawing me in to read further. This is one of the few sites that contain only a blog – no sex toy reviews, no media, simply her experiences in written format.

13. Diirrty is a quick spank on the rear, a quickie in the backseat. Brilliantly-arranged prose is refreshing, succinct. Love.

14. Sir Robert Stories delivers erotic short stories which cater to various tastes and genres. He has been collecting erotic literature for quite some time and occasionally recruits guest writers for submission pieces. Sir Robert does remind us that he posts once a week so stories submitted must be of extraordinary standards. In my opinion, he does an excellent job in choosing. One story by Gilglim has been written in a male perspective, but has also been written in a female’s. To me it denotes a certain empathy from the writer’s perspective, which is a sought after skill in the realm of writing with compassion and heart.

15. Nudes For Troops is a website dedicated to boosting the morale of American troops. I’m a patriotic American and am proud to have served my country during wartime. I support them because even though I am no longer an active duty lady warrior, I consider myself a lifelong member of the armed forces.

16. Lenoir Gold is an acquired taste. Pun totally intended. Lenoir is a passionate lover of water sports, also known as peeing. I, myself, do not have an infatuation for water sports, but it did spark my curiosity. Like any other specialty blog, it does have its own fetishists and this is no exception. Lenoir’s blog contains a massive assortment of male and female (or any other combination you can think of). He has a flair for words that he uses to introduce a photo or video, which read like a description of the nightly special on the menu of an expensive restaurant…and for many, perhaps just as delicious.

17. I discovered Innocent Loverboy and was immediately drawn to the innocence that poured from his erotic tales. His stories are beautifully crafted and written in the way a woman wears a sheer, white tee with no bra: revealing just enough without overstimulating your senses. On a recent Soft PornSunday post, ILB lampoons Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus, a science fiction movie with the implied, obligatory sex scene. If someone asked me to properly introduce him to the world of erotic literature, I would begin by recommending him Innocent Loverboy.

18. Renee Rose Romance is a candid writer whose emphasis is on spanking. I certainly am a fan of both specialized blogs (spanking or otherwise) as well as generalized ones. However, the uniqueness about Renee Rose is the incorporation of other aspects of her life into her posts, assuring the reader that behind the kinky woman is a fragile human being. Choosing to intertwine her clear gift of storytelling with real life is brave and I commend those who do so.

19. Erotica Everywhere is an erotic blog with excerpts of his sensual tales, guest bloggers, and snippets of his daily musings. Robert India engages his readers to join him in conversation after a post: “What is your favorite Bond & Bond Girl combination” and “Have you ever discussed pegging with your man?” His posts range from a thought of the day as it relates to an excerpt of his books and other writing to several lines of steamy poetry accompanied by a naughty photo to the occasional guest blog. Robert India has grown as a writer and an intellectual thinker and I cannot wait to read more from him.

20. Silent Porn Star is an extensive collection of sexuality in every medium and category your mind can think of.
