Review – Using Nature’s Way Coconut Oil as Lube

coconut oilSo far we have tried two different brands of coconut oil, one of them was awful and one of them was amazing.  We’ve decided to review Nature’s Way Coconut Oil because we are on our second container and I’d absolutely suggest it to all of our readers.   There are so many advantages to using coconut oil as lubrication for anal or vaginal sex I do not know where to begin.  Like a lot of our reviews, we will talk about coconut oil from each of our perspectives.

Lubrication:

Venice: For my vagina it seems to keep me wet for much longer than normal synthetic  lube.  We’ve tried K-Y-Jelly, Astroglide (which seems to have refined coconut oil in it), and various other brands, but none of them felt as comfortable as coconut oil.
Ryan: For information purposes, I’d like to add that when you are extremely sexually active, lube helps keep the penis and vagina in good shape.  Although a woman’s natural juices are fine for having sex 3 to 4 times a week, I personally would suggest using lube to help prevent tears from too much friction.  Sex causes microtears in the vagina and penis, if not lubricated properly.    This can lead to infections as well as, extremely sore genitals.   The tears add up.  The tears may vary depending on penis size and how naturally wet your vagina gets.
Venice:  No shame in my lube game.
Ryan: Ha, anyway, I love it because it smells amazing and is easy to clean off.  Depending on the lube, some make your penis feel waxy afterwards and have medicine like smells that I do not enjoy.
Venice: Yea, I hate washing off after sex and the K-Y Jelly just reminds me too much of a doctor visit.
Ryan:  Yea, unfortunately I have been on the receiving end of K-Y and a finger at the doctor’s office and there is nothing quite like the feeling of your doctor leaving the room and asking you to clean yourself up.   The walk of shame over to the paper towel roll with my pants half down and my anus dripping with K-Y is on the bottom of my “must experience” list.
Venice:  How does it feel getting anal sex with this lube?
Ryan: Are you trying to be funny?
Venice: No, I didn’t mean ask your doctor to use coconut oil the next time he or she penetrates your rectum and feels around,  I meant, how does it feel on your penis to use this coconut oil with my ass?
Ryan: Sexiest. Question. Ever.  Well, the more comfortable you are, the more I enjoy it.  To be totally honest, my dick enjoys the friction whether it’s well lubed or not, but my goal is to never really hurt you.  This coconut oil seems to work the best with your body.  It definitely seems to tear you less.  It also seems to keep your anus lubed well enough so that I do not have to make pit stops for more lube before I finish.
Venice: I agree.  Nothing has felt as good in my ass or vagina.  It helps lube me for anal perfectly and keeps my vagina more lubricated than my natural juices can so I don’t get as many tears from rough sex.   I want to keep my lady parts in pristine condition.

Massage Oil:

Venice:  I love how it feels on my body.  I have used coconut oil to give Ryan a deep tissue penis massage  and his body stayed lubricated the entire time.
Ryan:
The first few times after we used it, Venice immediately wanted to use it for a handjob.  However, every time she starts, instead of it being a handjob, it ended up just being a full massage of my crotch area.  Inner thighs, stomach, and of course penis.   Other than my penis being sore the next day from the amount of pulling and squeezing, I had no real issues.  My skin felt smooth and soft, and honestly a bit plumper throughout the day because of the massage.
Venice: The lubrication works so well I can slide my hands under his balls and slowly rub them upwards until they are tight in his skin.  Then as I put more pressure, both balls slide through my palms and I can continue moving upwards while pulling his dick.
Ryan: Yea, it feels really good.  Any other time, that much pressure in that area would hurt.  The lube works really well for sexual massages.
Venice: And it smells amazing.
Ryan: Yea, I’ve watched you smelled my penis and the palm of your hands  at least 50 times during those massages.
Venice: Yea, it’s a relaxing smell and talking to you while giving you a massage was just a good overall experience.

Taste:

Ryan: I have no problem licking your ass or vagina after I have lubed it up.
Venice: Yea, you call me your little Almond Joy.
Ryan:  Hah.  That’s what it reminds me of.  I will honestly say, this is the only lube I’d ever consider going back down on you once you have been lubed up.  It tastes just as good as it smells.  To me, it has a sweet taste.  When mixed with your natural juices, I honestly love it.
Venice: Yea, being able to go back down on you after you’ve lubed yourself up or been inside me is a huge plus.  Previously, if you put on K-Y Jelly and started penetrating me, I really wasn’t interested in sucking your dick anymore. I have no interest in having a mouth full of K-Y Jelly.  Without lube, I have no issues going back and forth from my vagina to my mouth.  With coconut oil, it feels the same and isn’t really an issue.  If I want to taste myself on your cock, the coconut oil and my juices mixed, taste delicious.

Bonus:

Venice: Well, my vagina feeling smooth and soft the next day is always a bonus. Although we had tried so many different lubes over the years, what we really used more than anything was good old fashion saliva.  And if I started drying up some, your mouth could always provide more lube for us on the spot.
Ryan: Yea, but my saliva doesn’t make your vagina soft and smooth the next day.
Venice: Definitely not.
Ryan: It also helps prevent yeast infections.  Coconut oil contains natural antifungal properties, 3 different fatty acids (Caprylic Acid, Capric Acid, Lauric Acid), that have each been found to be effective against the Candida yeast.
Venice: And you can find it in the cooking aisle of your local grocery store.  If you really wanted to, you can use coconut oil on bread, like you would butter, and have a coconut oil sandwich.
Ryan: That’s all true, read the label, Good For Cooking. For our readers’ purposes, we actually purchased Nature’s Way Coconut Oil at Walgreens in the vitamin section.
Venice: And for those of you who have never seen coconut oil, it usually is in a solid state.  Yes, it is in the container and hard to the touch.  However, within seconds of touching your finger or body heat, it changes to liquid form.  If the room temperature is too hot, the entire container will be in liquid form.  However, putting it back in a cool area will change it back to it’s solid state.

Coconut OilThe brand we prefer is Nature’s Way Coconut Oil Extra Virgin Organic.  I will update this blog with a few of the brands that I did not like.  Although they were also Extra Virgin Organic, it just didn’t have the same lubrication quality as Nature’s Way.

There are differences in refined or unrefined.  We personally prefer extra virgin and organic. We do not want our coconut oil to be void of it’s smell or flavor. We’ve also read that refined coconut oil can clogged your pores while unrefined does not.    Also, do not use coconut oil with latex condoms (polyurethane condom is okay).  The lube can break down the latex and increase the risk of breakage.

We have no affiliation with Nature’s Way Coconut Oil. Our review is based off trying the product and liking it.  However, if any representatives from Nature’s Way happens to see this review, please send us a lifetime supply of your product.  And please note, a lifetime supply for us is a lot more than you’d think.  We’ll need a large truck and a warehouse.
